Welcome to
Mini Mäuse
We learn for life
Funded by Stadt Bonn municipal administration
We are a internationally-oriented day nursery for children from the age of 3 months to school age. We are not religious, ideological or institutional.
We differ from others in that we have learned from the PISA results and neurological findings and therefore strongly advocate – as one of the first day nurseries in North Rhine-Westphalia – that children should be introduced to education and learning as early as possible, but in a playful manner. We are convinced that only this early introduction will guarantee that your child survive in an uncertain world affected by serious technical, ecological and economic turmoil.
At the Mini Mäuse, we we care deeply about providing every child with optimal, individual and, if necessary, inclusive support.
In addition, we also see ourselves as a modern service company committed to balancing work and family life. We therefore strive to meet the needs of modern working parents with our efficient and flexible childcare system.
Inclusion
We consciously embrace diversity. No child is treated differently based on individual characteristics, or social, ethnic or cultural differences. We see each child in its own individuality and perceive its particular characteristics as an enrichment to our community.
We are mindful of not stigmatizing or excluding children under our care by reducing them to their personal characteristics. Inclusion includes ALL children - not just those with disabilities.

We teach bilingualism
Specially trained native speakers convey the joy of the English language to your child. The employees at Mini-Mäuse focus on the educational concept of immersion with this bilingual approach:
The children’s normal daily routine is therefore conducted in two languages, which experience has shown, arouses children’s curiosity and desire for new things, but without overwhelming them. You will be amazed how quickly the initial successes are achieved!
We also offer bilingual groups – English & German – for children under the age of 3 years based on the method of immersion.

Infants and toddlers
With infants in particular, – who we look after from the age of 3 month – we are aware of the special trust that their parents have placed in us. That is why we endeavour to comply with high standards in this area.

Early education
Diverse early support and education – obeying the Kinderbildungsgesetz – is one of the main goals of our work. Yoga, gymnastics, music, (bilingual) language education and road traffic education should take this into account and prepare your children for school through play.
Younger children are introduced to circle and finger games as well as their initial experiments with crayons, pencils, scissors etc. through an appropriate mix of free play, games and group activities.
We will be happy to inform you about the various educational approaches that are incorporated into our daily work.

Our day nursery children
We observe our day nursery children, particularly with regard to their forthcoming entry into primary school and nurture them through play, but still focus on their three core competencies.
Self-Confidence:
Discovering your own strengths and weaknesses, respecting and understanding rules, self-responsibility and dealing with other people etc.
Social Competence:
Assuming responsibility and small tasks, mutual assistance, understanding a community approach by working together etc.
Subject-related and methodical competence:
Targeted linguistic support from Mario and Mo Mouse, road safety education, fostering concentration, teaching fine and gross motor skills etc.
If you have any questions, we are happy to make time to meet up with parents!

Expert advice
We are affiliated with the "Professional Counseling of Evangelical Day Care Facilities for Children".
In the current Children's Education Act of North Rhine-Westphalia (KiBiz), which came into force on August 1, 2020, the specialist counseling is anchored in law. The law stipulates how the providers and specialist advice centers must ensure, check and further develop the professional work of the day-care centres.
Our Tasks
By offering advice, further training and information, the specialist advice supports the dialogue of all those involved in the kindergarten work. Only through trusting cooperation can the kindergarten become a living and experience space for children and adults.
Acclimatization
Acclimatization takes place in our day-care centers based on the Berlin settling-in model. The child with its individual development (bonding behavior and level of development) is the focus of settling-in and specifies the individual and development-adapted settling-in period. The entire acclimatization process can therefore take anywhere from two to six weeks.
